Finolhu secures five nominations at Luxury Childcare Association Awards 2026

Finolhu, a Seaside Collection Resort, has received five nominations at the Luxury Childcare Association Awards 2026, recognising its childcare facilities, family experiences and programmes for children of different age groups.

The resort has been nominated for Excellence in Sustainable Childcare, Excellence in Children’s Programming, Excellence in Family Experiences, Excellence in Childcare Facilities and Excellence in Baby & Toddler Care.

Finolhu’s family offering includes separate facilities and activities for younger children and teenagers, alongside experiences designed for families to participate in together.

Its Kids Club combines indoor and outdoor spaces with a programme of creative workshops, games, sports and island-inspired activities. Some activities also introduce younger guests to the island’s natural environment and surrounding ocean.

Teenage guests have access to the Teens Hut, which provides a separate space for games, entertainment and social activities, allowing programmes for different age groups to be tailored more closely to their interests.

The resort also provides childcare services and age-appropriate facilities for babies and toddlers, as well as family-friendly amenities intended to support families travelling with younger children.

Located within the Baa Atoll UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, Finolhu also incorporates marine education and environmental awareness into selected activities. The resort’s wider conservation initiatives include a coral restoration programme with two coral nurseries containing more than 40 coral trees and involving thousands of coral fragments.

Families can also take part in watersports and other outdoor activities around the resort’s two-kilometre sandbank, beaches and lagoon, alongside creative workshops, recreational facilities and entertainment.

The five nominations recognise areas ranging from supervised childcare and facilities to family programming and environmental engagement.
