Visit Maldives is participating in TTG Travel Experience 2026 in Rimini, Italy, as part of efforts to strengthen the Maldives’ presence in one of its longest-standing European tourism markets.
A delegation of 48 industry representatives from 24 companies is taking part in the three-day event, which runs from 14 to 16 October. The delegation will meet Italian travel trade partners, stakeholders, marketing agencies and media representatives.
The Maldives is being showcased through a 96-square-metre stand, with participating tourism businesses presenting their properties, products and experiences to travel professionals attending the event.
Visit Maldives CEO and Managing Director Abdulla Yasir said the event provides an opportunity to strengthen engagement with Italian travel partners and present a broader range of experiences available across the Maldives.
Italy remains one of the Maldives’ key tourism markets. As of 12 October 2026, the Maldives had welcomed 100,779 visitors from Italy, making it the country’s fifth-largest source market.
Visit Maldives has also carried out targeted activities in Italy during 2026, including a media familiarisation trip with Alpitour and a joint marketing campaign with Sporting Vacanze.
