The Standard, Maldives has been named Best Family Resort in the Maldives at the Global Destination Awards organised by World Fashion Channel.
The award was presented at a ceremony in Moscow, Russia, attended by hospitality brands, travel professionals, lifestyle media representatives and industry figures from around the world. The annual awards recognise destinations and travel experiences across the international hospitality sector.
Located in Raa Atoll, The Standard, Maldives offers a range of facilities and activities aimed at families, including two-bedroom villas, family-friendly dining options and programmes for younger guests.
Its Lil' Shark Kids Club runs a daily programme for children, while family activities include snorkelling excursions, marine discovery sessions, sushi-making and soda-making workshops, water sports, beach games and other outdoor activities. The resort has also introduced a Teen Arcade Lounge featuring gaming consoles and interactive entertainment for teenage guests.
The resort also operates six dining venues and The Standard Spa, alongside wellness programmes and seasonal events. Activities such as Not Your Standard Bingo Night and Music Quiz are regularly held at Todis Bar.

The award adds to the recognition received by The Standard, Maldives for its family-focused tourism offering and guest experiences in the Maldives.
