Qatar Airways to Resume Maldives Flights from April

Qatar Airways has confirmed it will resume flights between Doha and Malé from 8 April 2026, restoring a key international air link following recent regional disruptions.

The airline will initially operate up to five weekly flights, with schedules valid until 15 April, after which further updates are expected. The route connects Hamad International Airport with Velana International Airport, supporting travel flows from Europe, the Middle East and the Americas.

The resumption follows temporary disruptions caused by regional tensions that affected key air corridors, limiting transit options for long-haul travellers.

The reinstated service is expected to ease capacity constraints and improve travel reliability, supporting inbound tourism to the Maldives.

Qatar Airways has also introduced flexible rebooking options for passengers travelling up to mid-June, providing additional assurance amid ongoing uncertainties.
