The St. Regis Maldives Vommuli Resort has announced a series of exclusive tennis residencies featuring international stars Daniil Medvedev, Paula Badosa and Donna Vekić, offering guests opportunities for private coaching, group clinics and interactive sessions between October and November 2026.
Organised in partnership with LUX Tennis, the programme forms part of the resort's Astor Club Soirée series, which brings internationally recognised personalities from sports and culture to the Maldives.
Croatian tennis star Donna Vekić will open the series from 29 October to 1 November. An Olympic silver medallist at the Paris 2024 Games and Wimbledon semi-finalist, Vekić will lead private lessons, adult group sessions and junior coaching activities.
Spanish tennis player Paula Badosa will follow on 13 and 14 November. The former World No. 2, who won the Indian Wells title in 2021 and reached the Australian Open semi-finals in 2025, will offer guests opportunities to participate in coaching sessions and on-court activities.
The programme will conclude with former World No. 1 Daniil Medvedev, whose coaching sessions are scheduled for 26 and 27 November. The 2021 US Open champion will conduct private lessons, adult clinics and junior group sessions, alongside opportunities for guests to meet him.
Ozgur Cengiz, General Manager of The St. Regis Maldives Vommuli Resort, said the Astor Club Soirée was created to bring influential figures in sport and culture to the property through personalised guest experiences.
He said the participation of the three tennis stars reflects the resort's continued focus on providing distinctive activities that engage and inspire guests.
Located on Vommuli Island in Dhaalu Atoll, the resort has been expanding its sporting experiences through its partnership with LUX Tennis, which was announced earlier this year.
The latest residencies will provide tennis enthusiasts of different ages and skill levels with opportunities to learn directly from internationally recognised professional players while staying at the luxury island resort.
