Coco Bodu Hithi named Indian Ocean’s Most Romantic Resort for third consecutive year

Coco Bodu Hithi has been named Indian Ocean’s Most Romantic Resort at the World Travel Awards 2026, securing the title for the third consecutive year.

The resort, part of the Maldivian-owned Coco Collection, previously won the same category in 2024 and 2025, extending its record of recognition for experiences designed for couples.

Located in North Malé Atoll, approximately 35 minutes by speedboat from Velana International Airport, Coco Bodu Hithi offers private island accommodation with a focus on personalised hospitality and secluded experiences.

Each villa features a private pool, while the resort's facilities include beachfront and overwater dining, couples' treatments at Coco Spa, sunset cruises and access to a vibrant house reef.

The latest award adds to Coco Bodu Hithi's international recognition, following its achievements at the Condé Nast Johansens Awards for Excellence, where it received Best Service in 2025 and Best Waterside Hotel in 2026.

Alongside the regional win, Coco Collection and Coco Bodu Hithi have secured two nominations for the World Travel Awards 2026 Grand Final.

Coco Collection is nominated for World's Leading Boutique Hotel Brand, while Coco Bodu Hithi is competing for World's Most Romantic Resort.

Voting for the global categories remains open until 30 October 2026, with the winners yet to be announced.

The resort is also preparing to host its Island Glow: Moments Made to Remember festive programme from 22 December 2026 to 7 January 2027, featuring dining experiences, live entertainment, marine activities and wellness offerings.

The third consecutive World Travel Awards win further strengthens Coco Bodu Hithi's position within the Maldives' luxury hospitality sector, particularly in the market for couples and romantic island getaways.
