Maldivian Appoints MEGACAP Aviation as GSA for China Market

Maldivian has appointed MEGACAP Aviation Services Ltd as its General Sales Agent for China, as part of efforts to strengthen connectivity and market presence.

China remains a key source market, accounting for over 15 percent of total arrivals in early 2026. The airline currently operates weekly flights between Malé and Chinese destinations using Airbus A330-200 aircraft.

The appointment is expected to enhance engagement with travel trade partners and improve market reach, supporting increased passenger demand.

With China showing strong recovery and growth, the move aligns with broader efforts to strengthen bilateral tourism flows and support the Maldives’ aviation and tourism sectors.
